Arrangements for the Friday Alpine Dinner:
Due to unexpected demand, there will now be a second venue, Bolgen Plaza, which involves no skiing after dinner. Bolgen Plaza is at the base of Jakobshorn and a short walk from Davos Platz train station. The menu and price will be exactly the same at both venues. For those with allergies there will be a vegetarian alternative to cheese fondue so if you are unable (or do not wish) to have fondue then please specify. For those dining at Fuxägufer, you will have a short ski after dinner and there is no alternative means of getting off the mountain. Therefore if you are a non skier or prefer not to ski after dinner then please opt for the non-skier fondue on the entry form. Otherwise there is no need to state a preference between venues as Marden’s Club will be arranging the seating plan.
Timings for Bolgen Plaza Alpine Dinner:
16:15 non-skiers head to Fuxägufer then Carjöler chairlifts for last lift down (latest 16:30), skiers have the option to ski down
18:15 dinner at Bolgen Plaza restaurant, preceded by drinks on the terrace
21:45 Bolgen Plaza closes. It is a short walk to Davos Platz station so diners may head back to Klosters whenever they would like to
Note for skiers staying for dinner at Fuxägufer: you will be guided to the Jakobshorn Gondola in two groups at either 20:15 or 21:15. Head torches are recommended so please bring one if you can. The gondola comes down to Davos Platz and then it is a 30 minute train or taxi ride to Klosters.
It is forbidden to walk to the Gondola or to ski down to Davos after dinner.
Marden’s Club will circulate piste maps marked with key AICC locations in the brochure which racers will receive in the welcome bags and on WhatsApp ahead of the event.
