Mardens Club Championships 5th April 2013

The inaugural junior Amateur Inter Club Championships (Junior AICC) was held in Murren on 30th March and featured teams from Kandahar, Marden's and DHO. Marden's fielded 5 teams, 2 in the 11 and under category and 3 in the 16 and under. The weather was cloudy with light snow. The format of the race was 2 runs of a GS in the morning and 2 runs of a Combi (combination between GS and ski cross) in the afternoon. In each case only the best run counted for each discipline. Marden's acquitted themselves extremely well with Marden's Menaces (Sam P-T, Wilf P-T and Clemantine Robertson) winning gold in the 11 and under while Marden's Meerkats (Luke Rochussen, Adam Rochussen and Honor P-T) got bronze in the older category.

The 6th Amateur Inter Club Competition (AICC) was held in Zermatt between 8-10 March and Marden's fielded 3 teams. Of particular note were our ladies who finished in Silver medal position, with Amy Donnellon and Sophie Grant being fastest and second fastest ladies overall!
